  1. Store your soap in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Excessive heat, light, and moisture are handmade soaps worst enemies.

2. Don’t let your soap drown! Keep your soap dry in between uses. Don’t let your soap sit in the bottom of the shower or bathtub. Don’t let the shower stream run directly onto your soap. Making sure to keep your soap dry between uses will ensure that you do not have a soft, mushy bar that seems to melt away.

3. Make sure you use a soap dish. You need to use a soap dish that keeps the soap elevated so it isn’t sitting in a puddle or one that has holes or slats for water to drain. The key is air circulation, so skip the fancy dishes that don’t have holes.  You want holes, and the more the better.

So, yes, you have to care for your soap so that you can get the most out of it. No one likes a soft, soggy bar of soap. use these three easy steps to take care of your soap and you will get several more uses out of it and have a much better experience.
